VIN verification
California requires a VIN verification on form REG 31 before an out-of-state vehicle can be registered. It has to be done by the DMV, law enforcement, or a licensed vehicle verifier.
We do them. Call to set a time, and bring the vehicle and its out-of-state title.
Check a VIN for typos
One wrong character on the paperwork can stop a transfer. Type the VIN and this checks its built-in check digit.
This checks the number itself, not the car’s history. Vehicles built before 1981, or for sale outside North America, may not use a check digit.
Two lines on every receipt
DMV fees are set by the State and go to the DMV. Our service fee is ours, and we tell you the amount before we start. They’re always shown separately, and you can pay both at our counter.
Every registration service we offer is also available directly from the California DMV, with no service fee.
